Worship
Worship is central to life at First Presbyterian Church. It is an inspiring and meaningful time, and visitors are warmly welcome to participate. You may expect the worship hour to begin with good morning greetings from the pastor, followed by
- a procession as the singing choir and pastors enter to join the congregation, then
- a prayer of praise to God
- a prayer of confession read by the congregation
- the first reading from the Bible
- an offering of music
- sharing of joys and concerns of the congregation
- offering of our gifts for the work of God
- a second Bible reading
- an informal conversation with our younger members
- the sermon
- the recessional, with the choir and congregation singing
Once monthly, the Lord’s Supper of Holy Communion is served and shared. The Presbyterian constitution invites all who have been baptized in any church to participate, including children.
Join us in worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
