Our Children

Sunday Morning Program- 4 years old through 4th graders

On most Sundays, children attend worship in the sanctuary through the Conversation with Children. At that point, they go upstairs to our Junior Church program, where they continue worshiping, even as they are learning about worship. At 11:00 a.m., children go to Sunday School, which is an active program of Bible story exploration using the Workshop Rotation model. Programming ends at noon.

Sunday Morning Program- 5th, 6th and 7th graders

This class is called the WWJD Team which meets in their downstairs classroom at approximately 11:00 a.m. following the conclusion of worship. They are using a Faith Alive curriculum called Walk With Me. Programming ends at noon.

Summer Sunday School

Sunday mornings in summer for kids 4 years through 4th grade.

Professional Childcare

Two childcare providers are on staff Sunday mornings, trained in child CPR, for children infant through 3 years.

Mary Poppins Nursery School

After 40 years of service to the Lansing community, Mary Poppins Nursery School closed its doors on May 16, 2008. The congregation of First Presbyterian Church is proud to have supported this ministry to the families of our community.

Camp Greenwood

Accredited Presbyterian-approved Christian summer camp, May-August, located near Greenville, Michigan.
