First Presbyterian Church of Lansing has a long history of service in the name of Christ.
- 1847
- First Presbyterian Church founded in the town of Michigan, Michigan, later to be named Lansing, Michigan, December 17, 1847.
- 1852
- House of worship built at North Washington and Genesee Street, the first church structure in Lansing.
- 1856
- Bell purchased by women of the church. Bell used as the official town clock and warning bell.
1870 Addition and 'Grading Down'
- 1889
- New church building completed at Capital Avenue and Allegan Street.
- 1948
- Basement of new building occupied at present site 510 West Ottawa.
- 1955
- Sanctuary, steeple, education wing completed.
- 1984
- Molly Grove Chapel completed.
- 2007
- First Church celebrates 160th anniversary.
- Major remodeling of Fellowship Hall.
